1. (Europe) Decarbonize Metal Industry. Snam, Europe’s largest energy infrastructure operator, and Tenova, leading developer and provider of sustainable solutions for the green transition of the metals industry, committed to conducting joint strategic studies and market analysis to implement specific infrastructure and metals production systems by using green hydrogen. 2. (North America) Offshore Wind Projects. Norway-based energy company Equinor and energy giant bp announced the finalization of the Purchase and Sale Agreements (PSAs) with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) for Empire Wind 2 and Beacon Wind 1 projects, which will see the companies develop and supply offshore wind energy to the state in one of the largest renewable energy procurements to date in the U.S. (Link)
3. (South Africa) Green Ammonia Plant. As the world looks to green solutions to reduce the devastating impact of climate change and deliver on its COP26 commitments, Hive Hydrogen and Linde announce the establishment of a 780,000 ton/year $4.6bn Green Ammonia Plant with its own dedicated power supply at the Coega Special Economic Zone alongside the Port of Ngqura.
