Here’s the Daily ESG Digest for June 21st, Tuesday.

1. (North America) $1 Billion Carbon-Neutral LEGO Faactory. The LEGO Group announced today plans to invest over $1 billion to build a carbon-neutral factory in the U.S. Based in Chesterfield County, Virginia. The new 1.7 million square foot facility will have 100% of its energy needs matched by renewable energy, and will also be designed to minimize energy consumption and the use of non-renewable resources. 2. (Europe) 1.5°C Climate Alignment Disclosure. UK pension fund schemes will be required to report on the alignment of their investments with the global climate goal to limit warming to 1.5°C, according to new measures introduced today by the Department for Works and Pensions. (Link)

3. (Global) Free Carbon Legislation Tracker. Carbon accounting engine Normative announced today the launch of a free Carbon Legislation Tracker to help companies stay compliant with carbon legislations. According to Normative, the new solution is being launched as companies, consumers and investors have shown growing interest in carbon footprint management, and as legislation is becoming stricter with more responsibility placed on businesses to account for their emissions.
