Here’s the Daily ESG Digest for November 14th, Monday.
1. (Middle East) 10GW Renewable Energy by 2030. Egypt has struck a number of agreements with energy companies around sustainability and reducing emissions, including at the Idku liquefaction, to deploy 10GW renewable energy by 2030. (Link)
2. (Europe) Solar Plant Acquisition. Sonnedix, the international renewable energy producer, closed the acquisition of a solar PV plant located in Herencia, Ciudad Real, Spain, that has recently achieved commercial operation date, from Impax Asset Management, who acquired the project rights in 2019. (Link)
3. (South America) Opportunity Scholarship. New Mexico’s most recent innovation in higher education, the Opportunity Scholarship, has once again made New Mexico a national leader in college accessibility. At the University of New Mexico, more than 11,000 students are receiving the Opportunity Scholarship, created by the visionary leadership of Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham. This fall, our freshman class grew by 14% over last year and over 35% since the fall of 2019. (Link)
